A note from Jason
Dear Ward 9 neighbours:
Thank you for placing your trust in me to represent our community over the past eight years. It has been a privilege to be your voice on City Council, and I’ve greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet you and learn about issues affecting the Ward 9 community.
Over this term I’ve taken a common sense and practical approach to getting results for you and your family. A few items I’ve pushed for include:
• Residential road renewals – on a consistent schedule for our ward.
• Rebuilding the bridge and improving Pinkie Road.
• Renewal of our water network throughout the ward and larger community.
• Working toward a complete pathway network, improving pedestrian safety signage, and crosswalk paint.
• Progress on Coopertown – The building of this new neighbourhood will help fund the much-needed water and drainage infrastructure. Ward 9 will also see roads being widened, new pathways, and improved intersections.
I have also been a strong voice for our community at large by:
• Working to improve the state of our downtown by increasing public safety, helping to attract new commercial and residential developments, and seeking event opportunities as part of the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District Board.
• As Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee, pushing for financial accountability and transparency by forcing administration to provide better reporting and taking responsibility for outcomes.
• Helping to bring big investment to Regina as Chair of the Sherwood-Regina Regional Development Committee, through the negotiation of theAGT/FCL/Viterra canola plant, improving the City’s fiscal stability and bringing opportunity to the community.
• Building relationships and connections on the Regina-Moose Jaw Industrial Corridor Committee, to create and enable future growth for the region.
I’m proud to ask Ward 9 once again for the privilege of helping to guide our community with enthusiasm and insight, towards stability and success, while addressing the enormous challenges faced by the city.
My proven record of pragmatism, cooperation, and maintaining respectful relations have been vital in my role as your City Councillor. These traits, combined with my perspective as a technician and small business owner, are essential for success at the council table. It is my hope that I have represented you strongly enough and worked hard enough to earn your vote once again.
If you have any questions, please reach out at 306-721-1046 or check my website at Ward9VoteJason.com.
Sincerely,
Jason
